Disturbing unethical practices

Someone once quoted, “A mute spectator to a crime is a supporter”.

This statement has rocked me to the core. There is so much wrong happening around me. Must I raise my voice? Must I say something? Will someone listen? Will it matter?

The simple answer is “I don’t know!”, so let’s find out!

This particular blog entry is requesting the Facebook Gaming influencers to drop a comment and share their opinion.

Here is what is going on with my known circle of Facebook Gaming Content Creators:

1. Hacking
Content creators are using hacking and cheating programs to gain unfair advantage in their games.

2. Misusing Game Tag resource
Content creators are misusing their ability to change game tag to accumulate undue views and statistics.

I am going to hold back the names of the people who are doing it because I do not want to be accused of defaming them. But that is the truth.

I have tried to raise my voice earlier for point number one but there has not been a strict response from the administration. I have not seen any policy changes or amendments that would govern such an unethical practice of using hacks and cheats during a live stream. Therefore I am not going to stress more on this point. However you are welcome to comment and discuss the issue at hand.

More disturbing is the behaviour that I have started to see in the creators regarding point number two.
It is shameful to see that some of the creators, in order to get views, are making a fool out of the viewers and the system. They are playing different games and are tagging the live stream with a popular game. The popular game tag attracts the viewers to come and watch the tagged game but they find out that something else is being played. This may seem normal to some people but according to me this is a scam. If someone has tagged a game with PubG Mobile and I go to watch the stream and I find some other random game being played then I feel insulted and cheated. I am not a child to not understand why people are doing it. It is not rocket science. They are doing this to get more views and betters stats. This is wrong. I have committed the same mistake myself and I have regretted it. I have used PubG Mobile tag while playing PubG Lite which was wrong and I admit my fault. I have not repeated my mistake. But some of the creators despite my constant consultation continue to dupe the system.

The sad part is that they are running the live stream with a popular tag and near the end of their stream they change the tag back to the original game. This is cheating, this is a sheer misuse of resource and this is a crime.

My heart is grief struck and I feel so helpless.

Dear Facebook Gaming, listen to my words. We are a new phenomenon. We are a growing phenomenon. But there are certain matters that need immediate attention. I do not know if this calls for policy changes or norm amendments but some form of policing is undoubtedly needed.

I know I will be frowned upon by many creators now who in their heart know that they are doing it wrong. But it is my duty to speak.

I will not be a MUTE and will not SUPPORT malpractices.

Thanks for reading.
Open for comments...so please do.

Requesting Facebook Gaming team to definitely comment something on this matter!

To all the viewers reading this blog, do raise your voice if you have felt like me!

Have a great day everyone!

Well many streaming platforms do have the policy against the 2nd part that you have mentioned but its just a written thing until we have proper admins to enforce that. Twitch use to enforce this too but currently they too seems to be slacking off a bit or maybe they dont have enough admins to keep an eye on everything as its massive compare to any other streaming platform currently, its just really hard to know weather its an human error or streamer is intentionally doing that without a human admins, they could introduce a bot(automated system) for this but we all know how YouTube's bot turned out, it started copyright striking everyone and demonetizing videos out of nowhere for no reason at all and i think same thing will be very disrupting for Facebook gaming as its still at a very early stage maybe thats why they dont want to intervene with a bot at this moment. 😕

It’s totally upto the content creator. He or she must be wise enough not to do it. But looks like money is more important.

Bhai, you have such a great heart. I know that you would never use a cheat or hacks for any game you play and I know that you would never game the system. In the end, those that do these things shall pay, and they WILL pay.
